Life often presents its most significant opportunities in the most unexpected ways. For Anthony (Tony) Aoun, that moment came as an act of providence. While head of M&S Centerless Grinding, KMM CEO John Shegda frequented the Italian Deli where Tony’s mom worked. A nudge from mom secured an interview that led to a career-long mentorship turned partnership. John’s guidance inspired Tony to hold steady through the ups and downs of the manufacturing world for 25 years.

Throughout his career, Tony has built a philosophy of empowerment. He doesn’t believe in micromanaging people, preferring instead to encourage a sense of leadership among his team. He is known for giving credit where it’s due and addressing issues directly, a straightforward and consistent approach his team has come to trust.

Tony is especially inspired by advances in neurosurgery where KMM’s work plays a direct role. One of his proudest achievements is developing solutions for a MedTech customer from the ground up, pioneering a method for grinding corewire that no other company was using at the time. This same approach is now a documented process used in several other projects.

His story is proof that a career is what you make it, and he encourages young tradespeople to pursue manufacturing for its mental and financial rewards, reminding them that success requires stepping outside their comfort zone.

Fluent in Arabic, dedicated to his craft and grounded by his family and regular workouts, Tony continues to push for excellence in every project. His journey is a testament to the idea that true growth is a continuous process, and the greatest destinations can start with an unplanned turn.
